Marko Pavlović
Internationally acclaimed pianist Marko Pavlović, hailed for his “breathtaking, powerful, exciting and poetic” performances has established a career that has taken him throughout Europe, East Asia and the United States. He has performed in some of the world’s major concert venues including Lincoln Center (New York), Shanghai Oriental Art Center, National Theater and Concert Hall (Taipei) and Kimmel Center (Philadelphia).
During his piano studies, Pavlović won prizes at more than 30 international piano competitions including Gina Bachauer International Young Artists Competition (Salt Lake City), Taipei International Chopin Piano Competition, Young Texas Artists Competition, Oberlin Piano Competition, Kingsville International Music Competition (USA), and Music Academy of the West Concerto Competition (Santa Barbara).
Following early piano studies in Serbia where he also became a university student at the age of 15, Pavlović continued his studies in the United States on full scholarship at The Curtis Institute of Music at age 16, and The Juilliard School where he earned his Master of Music degree.
A highly sought-after piano educator with more than 20 years’ experience globally, Pavlović regularly judges piano competitions, gives masterclasses and mentors piano teachers. Pavlović’s students have consistently gotten accepted to the world’s most prestigious music schools (university and graduate studies) including Juilliard and Yale, and won prizes at international piano competitions in China, Japan, Singapore, United States and Canada, including top prize at the Canadian Chopin Piano Competition. During his 10 years living in Shanghai, Pavlović quickly established a piano studio in high demand with students traveling from across China for lessons including many from Shanghai and Central (Beijing) music conservatories.
